ORA Birds nest issues

That's true and they are. Generally speaking SPS are most sensitive, LPS less (this varies), softies the least, but make no mistake all coral are sensitive to ALK swings. Zoas, Torches, Cyphastrea can suffer from an ALK swing just like any SPS can.
Right so maybe my alk swing is within what the LPS and Zoa can take but not within what the Nest can take

My birdsnest is in 150 par and growing fine and by the best standards I still have a .3-.5 dkh swing everyday just from the corals not consuming it at night but everyday at 10:10 pm my alk is 7.5 but at ten am it's 8 so if ur saying at the same time everyday there is a one dkh swing u need to fix that. And kalk is hard to adjust as it depends so much on how much water evaporates a day so on a cooler day u might not get the same amount dosed. With all corals it's not about an exact number it's about consistancy

Personally before you get to crazy i would start with getting your magnesium into the 1320-1380 range over a couple days. Sometimes just little fundamentals make a big difference. Just thought id put my 2cents in
