Just wondering if someone can give me some reviews on ORA Chaeto Vs AlgaeBarn

algaebarn "cleans" their macros. i believe this is a multi-step process, but includes physically pulling all pieces apart and manually removing the pest organisms that typically hitchhike on macro. nothing in this world is fail-safe, but their macro definitely is less likely to introduce unwanted organisms into your system.

Seriously? I always assumed they grew it in a semi-sterile environment. Just nutrients, chaeto, and lights. Is this confirmed?

i believe your assumptions are correct, at least in the case of algaebarn. don't know for sure about the macros at ora, but i believe at least some of their systems are (or at least were) flow-thru to the nearby beach.
