I have now read up on ORA corals, and now understand why everyone is jumping on the bandwagon....now my question:

Where did LFS buy their corals from before ORA became popular?

there's many other distributors and LFS's do not strictly carry ORA most get their stuff from a variety of wholesale vendors

Most LFS have wild collected coral that comes from a number of wholesalers

there is a difference between ora corals and wild corals
the band wagon is knowing that youre not completely destroying the natural reefs
and some people like that
and some people are willing to spend a little more for that

Although Fates veiw is awesome and I do support it the majority of buyers couldnt care about wild vs aquaculture... they want a Hardy, Dependable, Colorful "NAMED" piece in thier tanks that will increase in value as it grows... This is what ORA offers

ReefDoctors is right IMO. People like named "collector" pieces, or to be among the first to have a piece. ORA isn't the only place doing this of course, just think of all the Tyree pieces out there with hefty price tags too.
