ORA Frag ID

Is this ORA Joe the Coral? It's on the black Ora plug that they use but I was thinking Joe the Coral is a Tenuis, this is definitely a Staghorn. Did they send me the wrong frag?

Wonder what LiveAquaria's policy is on sending out the wrong frag...... Definitely not a Joe huh? Does look a lot like the Purple Plasma, I don't see any purple in it though and it's colored up pretty good .

Yeah , been checking looks like A Stuber. Guess I better contact LA For sure its not Joe the Coral right? So many of those ORA frags are similar.

It's not a joe the coral. Different growth pattern totally. What's the color of the skin

Pretty confident it's a Stuber. Only thing that matters is it's not JTC which is what I ordered. I'll be calling LA tomorrow .

If the base color is purple I'd bet purple plasma

Joe the coral is generally not one to be confused with stuber stag. Color and growth are not even close. But i think most of us have had mix up with online.

Update,Live Aquaria agreed they sent the wrong frag and sent me out a Joe the Coral frag . Here's a side by side picture. They do look similar.... Do these look like different coral?

They look the same to me.. Both look like my JTC that i got a couple months ago and i got mine from UC

stuber on the left and joe the coral on the right. Is this correct??

That's my guess anyway but yeah , the one on the right was definitely Joe the coral

For anybody interested I sent a picture to ORA for an ID and this is how they responded:

Hello James, great to hear from you! Based on the picture you sent, I would say you have two of the same coral: both are Joe the Coral. The one on the left just doesn’t have all the growth points the frag on the right has. Obviously, picture quality and aquarium lighting are very limiting factors to coral identification, but based on what I see and know of this coral in our greenhouse, I think they look to be the same ORA coral.

Thank you for supporting ORA, James. I’m looking forward to seeing them grown out!
