ORA Green Birdsnest - expected color tips only?

I got this coral and have placed in approx 275-300 par. Came with 2 or 3 branch’s whose tips broke during shipping, they have recovered nicely.

Wondering if it’s normal for the green coloration to only be on the branch tips. Of course sellers photo is edited as are most sellers pics.

Looking for opinions, is this looking normal and healthy?

No, it's fine. Let me know if you need some more. I have to break off two to three times that amount weekly. It is a fast growing coral that fills a space nicely. Give it plenty of room and then some.

Someone has to be the first to call out the blue pic, I expect it The lens filter adjusts pics to look accurate to in person viewing but if we need white I don’t mind

The call out for white pics helped me see some black spots. Upon close look it appears to just be a few closed polyps. I will monitor

Got this for 20$ because I was just short of free shipping. So it was spend 20$ and get a birdsnest or spend 45 on shipping and get no birdsnest lol

just never ora green, wondering if it’s only supposed to be metallic green on the growth tips and not branches

My current setup has been LPS for last 2 years but parameters and everything are stable and I feel I need more vertical space filled, so decided to get the birds nest and bonsai to “test the waters” before moving on to some higher end pieces

This is what I’m working with currently, ignore the green haze, I added some reef energy ab+ a little earlier tonight

My upper rock / shelf areas are 250-300 par, I’m around 450 at the surface and I wouldn’t mind getting a few showstoppers or a battle pack and letting some sticks fill in that upper third of the water column

I have a monti cap that browns and dulls on the more central older portions. But the newer growth is the correct color of green. This happens when my alk starts getting low. It's always the first to show signs of unhappiness in my tank.

Your old tank looks great! I am really surprised you do not have more rock in your new one. Just in reference for it's filtering capabilities. Everything looks great!

Thanks! This is actually the same tank, rock, and sand. Just less rock because I wanted to try some more open space in this layout to allow coral growth. I did add a bunch of the rock to my sump.

In the old setup I grew everything myself from tiny nubs
