ORA Lemon Damselfish

We added 12 ORA lemon damsels to our 300g aquarium. One of them is showing some discolorations, and a couple have it only much less pronounced. I think this is abrasions on the skin and not anything to worry about since no one else in the tank is showing any signs. They have been in week or two and are starting to establish their territories, and our anthias are not big fans of theirs(minor harassment).

Any thoughts

300g Good’ish parameters Phosphate and Nitrates are a little high, everything else has bee normal. I don’ t have my last tests results at hand right now.

It does look like abrasions, like they are scratching against the rocks or something. Or sometimes they scratch themselves darting into a hole in a rock. However, if the scratching is due to irritation from parasites or worms feeding upon them that is a bigger problem.

Its possible they're getting roughed up on thee rock as they try to avoid the anthias, hopefully everyone calms down soon!

Agree it looks like an abrasion. Will have to monitor it. How would you describe the personality behavior of these? I was interested in getting a few myself. From what I understand they’re fairly shy fish. Was wondering about aggression.

I only have first hand experience with wild caught specimens. Shy when little, but coloration dulls and they become more aggressive as they grow. Not as bad as some other damsels, however.
