Tried doing a forum search and a Google search. But can't find any info. What exactly are the ora mini ocellaris?

They claim they won't grow but to around 1" in length. More interested if they are a true breed. Or more so runts from other breedings.

They wouldn't be able to sell them as juveniles if they were 'just runts' because they wouldn't know yet... anyway, that's how you make a miniature breed. Take the adult runts and breed them.

Ha ha true. They are either a holes or get beat up. Was curious if anyone had on hands experience with these fish.

Have a pretty mild stocked tank. Around 5 years old. Was thinking of adding a pair. Never hurts to ask questions first though. Lol

How much damage could little ones do:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:!
Lol right!

I know this was said in jest but I have a short story.
When I moved to my new house a lot of my fish stock came with me mostly in not exactly ideal manner. In a 90g I had a pair of Turkana jewels (supposedly mild mannered for jewel cichlids and stay smaller too) about 2.5". The tank also had a few (8-10) other fish ranging in size from 5-8" a couple known to be a little on the aggressive side. Well the jewels decided to breed. Those two 2.5" fish had all the other fish pinned in the top front corner of the tank for two weeks while I sorted it out. I was shocked and had to fast track some solutions. Lost my starry night cichlid to their aggression it was about 7" and known to be quite aggressive (tank boss until that point).

mine draw blood
I couldn't begin to count the number of times that mine has bit me over the last 7 or so years. I once found a firefish literally bit nearly in half with just a small piece of tissue near the spine keeping the back half from being completely severed.

The only fish I have ever been able to keep her with are neon and watchman gobies. Her tank is the most boring thing on the planet. There is more action at a bingo parlor.

I'll never buy another clown, no matter how tiny they purport it to be.

after talking to someone from ORA, theyre not a smaller type of ocellaris, theyre just younger fish. theyll still grow to their normal, wild ocellaris size.
