ORA Pearlberry care/experience/placement

My pearlberry did the same thing. Just lately tho under real low light I'm not getting really green polyps hopefully the base turns green as well and the tips get ore blue instead or purple/gray. It is probably my favorite piece I own, I personally almost only see the best colored pearl berrys in MH tanks but that's just from my observation when looking at tanks with them.

I currently use LEDs.

i had mine in moderate light (midway down in a 25" tall tank, lit by 6x54w ATI fixture) with high flow; had good color and growth, lost it when it got knocked behind rock work.

Mine is 6 inchs under the water moderate flow 14k MH works the best for me.

My pearlberry is about 6-8in from the top with 6 bulb t5s and it has amazing colors. highlight and moderate to strong flow for mine and growth and colors are awesome

This was under halides in my 320 gallon. No pictures of it under LED as it is just a frag.

I have plenty of SPS that brown out when fragged and put in a new tank. Sometimes it takes a year for it to start branching off and gettng awesome colors again. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it, just have patience.

Now the piece that colored up and then browned back out.... that seems like you had an alk fluctuation or some other stress.

I our experience, this coral is more sensitive to good water quality than most. The color really responds well when the excellent water quality is reached.
