Hello there I got some new ORA frags the other day and I was wondering what u guys do with the big plugs they come on. Like how do you guys cut them or fit them in a frag rack?

Ya that's why I'm try to get advice because a normal frag plug you can just cut off the stem and use the disc but with ORA the stem is so big and thick you can't cut it with bone cutters or put it on a frag rack

Plugs can carry pests or pest eggs from one aquarium to another. So I cut the coral off of the plug with bone cutters and throw away the encrusted plug. I am referencing specifically acro or other easily removed frags. ORA frags in particular are usually large so cutting them off at the base is not a problem.

I either reattach to another plug with superglue gel or attach directly to rocks with 2 part epoxy.

+1 on removing the plugs if you can, though encrusters are more challenging. Zen-Reef frag racks are supposed to be able to accommodate the larger ORA plugs too...
