I have had his Goni for awhile now In my mixed reef and I am curious to why it has gotten lighter and lighter in color over time and why it's tentacles get shorter and shorter over time? Obviously this isn't how it should be and I'm just curious to why? I have it in medium flow and is on my sand bed....parameters are super stable and sps and other corals are fine....any ideas?

Do you feed it at all? Try Goniopower, or a home made slurry, reef roids........Mine likes Acropower.

No I don't....only thing I ever really did was oyster feast but that was maybe 3 times since I got it.....how often do you feed yours?

Once or twice a week. ORA Red Goniopora have a reputation of being one of the hardier Goniopora, I have the same type. I feed Acropower, after I see a feeding response I add Reef Roids.

Mine is not directly under LED's if that helps, mod flow, sps dominated tank.

Make sure to give it a good 10-14 K blast at some point in the day and make sure to have some phosphate and some nitrate

Wow I need mine to look like yours! Haha that's how it used to be! Okay I'll try to start feeding it once or twice a week and my phosphates are at 0.03ish and nitrates are 5

You guys feed during the day or at night? I usually feed at night because most corals polyps are out better, like acans but my gonis are open during the day and closed up at night
