I've had my red Goni for a little over 2 weeks now. The first night I brought it home, it opened up within a few hours. This weekend I did a tank transfer from a Fluval Spec V to a JBJ 12 gal Nano Cube. I got new live sand, some new live rock, and the water movement is obviously different, as well as I have new LEDs.

I took my live rock out of my Fluval, and most of the water, and put it in the new tank along with all the live stock.

All of my corals and fish are doing fantastic, except my red goni. I'll see it begin to open, and then it closes fully again. I've moved it to different tank levels, as well as to different spots in the tank to change flow. It still isn't opening up.

My parameters are good. Nitrates are low, I did have a soft cycle from the setup though.

Could the water be too clean for it right now? Should I just let it be for a few days with decent water flow and moderate lighting? It is currently in the sand bed along with my torch, and my torch is doing great.

Here's what it looked like before the move:

Possibly a cycle or mini cycle. Any trace of ammonia or nitrites could cause it to be stressed. Could also be adjusting to new lights and flow. There are so any variables when moving to a new tank.
