Hey everyone,
Today after I got home from work, I noticed that my Dottyback had an unusual breathing pattern and it’s left gill is opening up in a weird way. I attached a video of the fish in hopes of possibly identifying what’s wrong with the fish.

The dottyback is breathing too deeply and too fast overall. The left gill cover is extending further than the right, but I think the real issue is the heavy breathing.

How long have you had the fish and when was the last fish added to this tank?

Gill flukes are one possibility, as is bacterial gill disease (less common).

I'd say that I've been having the fish for about 2-3 months, that was the most recent fish added...
Also to add to its symptoms, ever since I've added the fish it's been very timid of swimming out and about especially when I'm near the tank. I'm not sure why it's like that, especially because he's the second-largest fish in the tank.
