Hello,
What would you call these black markings? Bacterial infections? My Tank has ich, always had it. I had a big outbreak after adding 2 tangs (naturally).

What medications can I give orally to help fight the possible infections the open sores that ich causes? Everyone still eats like a pig so I would rather give them oral medicines than dose the water column.

R2R just posted my article on medicated foods yesterday. Here is a link to it, the PDF download is on the right:

The trouble is - there is the easy way to dose medicated food (unmeasured shotgun approach) and the right way. I outline the right way to do it, but it is VERY complicated.

Difficult to say what the black spots are on your naso. Obviously, black ich (tang turbellarian) comes to mind, but these spots look more diffuse. I think what you are seeing is melanin deposition from the fish at the site of the infection, and therefore, the infective element could be turbellarians, flukes, even regular ich. It isn't as likely to be a bacterial infection.
