Orange Branching Psammacora

Looks like new growth to me.
This Aussie orange Pavona is pretty cool too and only $22...i kinda prefer the Psammacora though since it's Branching but this one is pretty cool too...

They also have these two smaller pieces for sale for $11 each...or the bigger one is $22...good deals? Which should I pick?

I like the last one, it’s giving a peace sign!

Got the budget for both? You could see which does best for you, then, if you're low on space, sell off or give away the one you don't want to keep.

I put off buying this from Jason Fox and now I regret it. Any chance of sharing your source?

I'd be more than happy to share my source but I'm in Bangkok so unless you're in Thailand i don't think it'd be of much help to you...

Just ordered some amino acids for this guy (getting the bigger one) I'd say at $22 it's a steal especially considering the orange branching ones seem to be rare according to comments

I'm not sure I've ever actually heard of branching psammacoras. Post pics once it gets big! I'm curious what it grows into.

I have some of the orange Psamacora and after a VERY slow acclimation it is really spreading and branching nicely

How slow of an acclimation and why did you see necessary to do an extra slow acclimation for this coral in particular? Or do you mean it took a while to acclimate after being added to the tank?

Finally got it in the tank today! It literally glows so bright orange i can see it from across the room!

Nice! Got an updated pic?
I'll post a pic in a little while...no sooner did I make one purchase than he got new stock in that are absolutely beautiful to say the least...after he posts the price, and i find out what kind of corals these 3 are i might pick one of them up too...do you happen to know much about these 3? They all look to be encrusting corals though and I don't want to run out of real estate too quickly is the only thing...

Purple one is a scroll coral, I think they call it LA lakers. Common, should be cheap.

Last one looks to be war coral, common, should be cheap

The photos look over saturated

All 3 corals are cheap common corals. They sell for about $15-$30 here in the states during live sales. The photos are photoshopped to make them look better than they are. The first is sector one favia.

Yeah, didn't think they were too uncommon but still pretty cool looking in the pics (of course oversaturated colors though)...I'm probably not gonna be getting another encrusting coral too soon anyway due to the real estate the take up over time in the tank

Instead of those corals, i have my eye set on a Christmas Tree Worm rock now that's a really beautiful piece at an even more beautiful price!...As for the Psammacora, it seems to be adjusting very well to it's new tank and I'm very pleased with my purchase of it!

Make sure you've done your research on Christmas tree worms, they're tricky to keep long-term. They're beautiful, but they require specialized care to last.
