Not encrusting. It's an LPS - they are basically a single large polyp.

I like them and also +1 to living in the sand bed. Saves spots for other corals!

I have 2 orphek LED bars 48" so highly doubt I could keep acros. And I feel like those dudes are expensiiiiiiiiive but if I wanted to avoid expensive I should have kept goldfish I guess.

t5s but these are not acros but a easier sps type. depends on depth of your tank. they are not as light demanding as acro.

Saw a colony at the store a few weeks ago and fell in love. Gonna have to pick up some next time.

Monti cap is more of a red, but has an orangey tint on whites, and is super forgiving (for an sps).

What is this?

This was one of the first corals I bought and was labelled as ‘RHODACTIS’. I’ve seen in various shops visited such examples labelled many things including ‘knobbly mushroom’!
