Anyone have any ideas what this is, coraline maybe? It spread over all the rocks with about a week or so. It’s looks yellowish/orange under the with light, orangish under the blue light. I know it’s hard to tell from the blue photos. I tried to rub/scrub it off and it doesn’t come off. thoughts?

The tank looks fairly new am I right? I’m thinking it’s just the ugly stages.

It’s just over over 3 months. I’m just hoping it’s nothing bad. Ugly stage is fine by me if that’s what it is.

Looks like diatoms
I looked into that as well. I have a UV sterilizer (Coralife x12 36W) installed and It’s been running for about two days now. So, hopefully that helps. Maybe?

Best thing I've seen for diatoms on rocks are Trochus snails... they will not do anything on the sand though
