I've been looking through discussions but I haven't seen something that looks like my situation. I have this pretty bright orange algae(?) covering my rock. It started as a small patch before I went on vacation and it has tripled in size in about a week. I will attach pictures. I have a microscope coming in tomorrow and I think that will help figure out what it is. Can anyone tell what this is?

Parameters:
PAR around 150 in the area affected
Nitrate: 5.3 Hanna Checker
Phosphate: 0.07 Hanna Checker
Alk: 8.4 alk (I dose soda ash to keep this up)
Calcium: 415 Red Sea Test Kit
Magnisium: 1350 Red Sea Test Kit
PH: between 7.9 and 8.2 (I'm trying but that's as high as I can get it because I sit right next to it all day)

does it blow off with a turkey baster? If yes it would likely be cyanobacteria.

If it’s hard, it looks like Plating Montipora. Soft and won’t blow off a Sponge.

I was able to blow it off with a turkey baster so Cyano it is. Thanks!
