I recently aquired a nice frag of these palys and I can swear they are envy orange. Can anyone confirm?

Can't confirm, but I would like a polyp or two. Please add me to your frag list.

I have looked these over very very closely and the one thing I find most consistant is the 2nd layer of the skirt which is what the envys have over let's say the OPE's. Anybodys help in confirming would be gratly appreciated. Also, what is the current market value of these babies?

I've never personally sold them but I suspect $10-15/polyp would sell no problem. I lean more to the $10 side. I can't make myself charge huge amounts of money for zoas, they grow so fast.

According to the "envy" on Zoa-ID they have the lines, and OPE's have longer tentacles on the skirt not short and bulbous like these. I actually have many OPE's and they look nothing like these. Also the OPE's have a dark circle around the mouth not solid orange like these. I have really looked em over pretty good.

Nice polyps. The coloring is different in that pic than what I'm used to seeing in pictures of Envy Oranges (what I've seen has usually been more of an earth tone orange or pastelish orange-those above pop). The lack of the dark circle around the mouth has me intrigued, though. Rumor has always had it that Envy Oranges don't grow (like 1 polyp in three years, I think I read once). I'd love to get a few polyps of those. Let me know if you'd like to trade (have a little bit of everything-zoas, sps, lps/acans, etc.). Those are different than anything I've got:).

Yes, I know what you mean by earth tones. I took off my filter lens and turned off the actinics. Here is another pic. Any thoughts?

Take a pic with flash only and see what they look like. Mine are solid orange, but different lighting could possibly affect it.

The black area around the mouth isn't a consistent identifier, but usually a good sign. The most obvious way to tell is the polyps are solid bright true orange.

I took a chance and got a frag from oceaninabox.com and I have to say I am very convinced they are the envy orange!

This is with full MH lighting:

OBTW They are not the same color as my RPE's and are actually a bit more orange than the pic shows.

I aquired a small colony about a month ago. My supplier did a special buy on them for me. They are wild and the only color shift has been the super intense orange color just is incredible. No fading at all.
