Seems like all the orange hammers I see are a less than spectacular brownish orange when seen in person. Online pics always look so good. I know some are, shall we say enhanced, but they can't all be. Would really like to find a truly bright orange that pops. Feel free to post a pic of a really bright one and a source if possible.

the orange hammers that pop are wall hammers and are $500+. the branching "orange" are more of a peach.

There's a place by me called exotic fish and coral in mil Ford ct that has the most amazing orange hammer ever. It has a green base but the ends are very orange. Price on it is insane if they can get more which they say they can. This one is the most orange hammer I have ever seen. I had a orange wall but it turned into a cream/light orange after awhile. I'm not sure if it's on there site but if they have pics of there cube display it's in that tank. A member of our club has ordered I think over a 1000 worth of different orange hammers and pretty sure all have been a disappointment.

I had the wall I paid 100 for it for a softball size. I got it from designer corals. I lost it to brown jelly along with many other euphyllia

Thanks all. I'll have to look for an orange wall hammer.

My LFS has an orange one in their display. It's a branching type. It's beautiful. Every time I go in I ask if they'll sell it but they say no, so I've never even heard a price for that beauty. I have bought a couple from a vendor here that turned out to be less than pictured. There was even a thread about it here in this LPS forum. I think I'm with Ligershark that the orange wall hammers are nicer than the branching type from what I've seen.

I just got a branching orange that was pretty peach coloured, but still looked very nice. Had a decent amount of orange.

I have had or still have orange or gold euphyliia. I bought locally. Afraid of buying LPS like that online. I see their colors in store. But when under my lights. More or less tan in color, unless i max the blues. Either LED, which enhance the best, or atinic. Then the orange or gold shows. In torches the orange or gold looks like an electric surge in tentacles. My orange hammer is actually beginning to appear more orange as it gets use to light day time lights. It does seem to me without lots of blue enchaned lighting they do not really pop. I am sure there are some that do under normal day time lighting but as mentioned it would be a mortgage payment.

I (briefly) had an orange wall hammer that was a gorgeous nearly fluorescent orange. Unfortunately it just went steadily downhill and I lost it after a few weeks.

Nice orange hammers are out there for sure, although I agree most labeled 'orange' aren't very impressive colored.
