I've been having trouble with my orange hammer I've had for some time. It's been through a lot and is just one head, always was. It was orange when I bought it but has become a sort of peach color due to the abuse it's gone through and doesn't stand out much. It's very healthy and happy now and seems to be growing and extending way more. Anyone know how to get that bright orange out of them? I started feeding reef roids I'm wondering if that'll help.

Where in the tank is it and what lighting? Is it possibly bleaching a bit? Where are your nutrient levels?

You say it's gone through a lot? Care ri elaborate? Maybe its still recovering

Nutrients are undetectable (Adding more fish soon). It went through my tank crash and survived, now the tank is in pristine condition. I just have some old maxspect razors, lower third of the tank. I doubt it's bleaching, I wonder if it's not getting enough light but I don't know if these hammers prefer more or less light.

Would probably appreciate some po4 and no3

Since it's been through a lot I'm thinking it will eventually regain its original colors in time. Adding fish is fine but just try to keep things as consistent as possible. I wouldn't change or adjust your lighting and make as few changes as possible.
Im adding new actinics regardless of whether the hammer likes it or not these things suck my corals dont glow right

What lights are you currently running?

What size tank?
46 gallon with probably 15 gallons of water in the sump

The issue is I cant specify what kights because I chanhed the LED clusters on my maxspect razors at some point and i dont remember which cluster it would be.
