Orange in SPS

M. samarensis can be orange or red depending on parameters, things like Monti crazy t and relatives can be yellow or orange depending on parameters.

I have seen mystic sunset Monti in orange too before

There also are orange A. tenuis but I don't have those myself

The best is CRT Orange Dragoncicle from @coral reeftank

That dragoncicle is a stunner, if only it wasn’t a deeper water acro.

I don't know why, but I have a sudden urge to spend money

Seems to be a deeper water smoothie. I have never had much luck with smoothies.
They’re a pain but they’re too pretty to not want to try out.

Make that 3… If I had the tank I would be acclimating an Acropora carduus to my lighting in a heart beat.
hi would yuo mind expanding on the acclimating please... do you leave the frag at the bottom and work it up to position over a period of time...thx just trying to learn cheers

You need to start out with extremely low lighting (I believe it’s 150-200 PAR but I could be wrong). Then you slowly, and I mean slowly ramp up the lighting to normal reef lighting depending on what coral you own. Usually we ramp PAR to being between 300 and 350 (I had to bump my light down because originally it was pushing 600+).
And once you have it acclimated to the PAR on the sand bed you’ll want to slowly acclimate it up the rockwork just how you’d usually do when acclimating other Corals to your lighting.

Basic but cool

Exactly like that! Those acros are stunning and so is the Mystic sunset. I got a regular sunset for my SPS tank and it looks like a regular monti cap with green polyps.
