I've been hearing a lot of hub bub about some of these orange danae's (orenji, sunny delight, boiling point) as of lately and was curious if anyone could show me some pics to compare. Especially if you have them under the same lighting. I'm looking for a true orange, under my more bluish lighting my setosa looks pink to red rather than an orange. Stunningly beautiful coral, I just want to add a little splash of orange as I am lacking this color.

I think the Orange w/ white polyp morph is stunning.. I've had the Orange base Orange polyp for a few years and it does add a nice "splash of orange", not as nice as the white polyp though.

Don't have a close up but you can see mine on the sandbed under the Mag-Fox.

Ianiwane- Nice piece, is that a wild piece or a specific strain from another reefer?

ConcreteReefer- Love the aquascape is that plating coraline growing off your rock?

My LFS has a piece similar to the one in post #2, but its wild caught.

Everything is wild caught at some point. How funny would it have been if someone would have had the chance to buy say.... the original pink watermelon chalice when it first came in and we said... yeah but its wild caught..

I think the orange on orange danae's that are coming in lately are similar if not the same as the orenji monti. I bought a piece retail from a sponsor and i recieved a large on in a shipment from aussie. They may be wild caught but given a chance for these things to attain there full color and grow out into your reef tank they are going to be stunning pieces!

I have an aussie piece similar to it as well. Its not as nice as the picture I posted. I don't think the aussie pieces are danae either. A friend of mine got the aussie monti from golden ina (he gave me a large piece). I think the aussie pieces may be undatas. The one I posted is an ido piece that was cherry picked out there for diamonds in the reef. The one I posted looks very similar to the orenji danae.
