Hi,
I bought a orange plate about a week ago , it was out for about 4 days and has now receded .
i put it on the substrate in med to low flow and fed it reef roids.
it hasnt come out again and looks white ( i dont think its bleached just showing it skeleton)
ive read that if its not happy where it is it can move itself.
(i have a long tenticle plate that moves itself and is now happy a foot away from the orange)
should i move it or leave it etc.
here is a pic of it , and also of my tank this morning about 30 mins after lights on , as you can see all other corals are out.
thanks
mark

Try moving it to the lowest light area in your tank but I think the answer to your problem is visible in your second picture your angel is probably nipping.

Hi , ok I'll move it and see what happens , also as soon as I posted the pick I saw where the angel was , I haven't seen it nip but could be sneaky , also would it be worth putting a clear takeaway container with holes in it over it for a bit after moving it? Thanks mark

You could make an egg crate box to protect it from the angel, see if it looks any better.
