Hey Guys! I'm new to this forum (spend most of my time on a different forum), but I'm trying this place out for size. =)
I just started a 120g rimless peninsula tank about a month and a half ago, it's fully cycled and supporting 4 chromis, ~30 hermit crabs, and an assortment of soft, LPS, and SPS coral - all happy campers!
Yesterday I picked up a starfish from my LFS that seemed to be reef safe (not because of its shape but because I watched them place it on top of corals and not eat anything all day). Turns out it's not reef safe, but I'm still curious about what species of star it is - I haven't been able to find any info on it at all.
The types of stars that I've found that I thought could be it is: biscuit sea star or cake sea star - though neither of these are reported to eat coral based on the research I've done.
Thoughts?
