That’s impressive growth my orange shoulder was about 4” when I got him and is probably 7” two years later. What are you feeding that fish? Lol

spectru pellets 3times per day (entire feeder gets refilled weekly) and home made frozen 4 times per day. in may i left for 8 days vacation and lost 2 tangs due to aggression and decided im feeding my fish alot more.

These are one of the faster growing tangs in addition to powder blue, Hepatus, dussomieri and vlamingi

Cod,tilapia, shrimp. Scallops. And lake smelts. Thats my recipe and i works for my wallet. Used to use LRS but its very expensive and inconveint to buy it since id need 2 packs per week at my rate of feeding maybe a lb of frozen per week

My Phosphates started going out of control after adding 12 jumbo snails (2-3") and 2 large urchins. It goes from .20 to .60 ppm in matter of a week. Finally just coming to terms with the fact i will have to use GFO and LC and chase my Phosphate in this tank.

I hear you! Really hard to keep phosphates low and feed heavy. I’ve just accepted that they’ll be higher but man my fish sure look fat and healthy lol.

I actually have a project in the works. Use my old 65 gallon acrylic tank to make a enormous algae turf scrubber. Then feed that algae back to the tank.

My powder since last year was about 4" and now still 4". Which i love. My hippo and purple tripled in size. My achilles grew maybe .5" but def got thicker
