I recently purchased two skunk clowns, maybe two weeks ago. I've been feeding a mix of mysis and live brine twice a day, and noticed that their bellies are still pinched in. Could they have a parasite?

They probably have a parasite, after two weeks of feeding on good foods they shouldn't have pinched bellies. Do you know if they are wild caught or aquacultured?

I honestly don't know if they're wild or captive bred. I assume they're captive with the rest of the clowns the store offers. Can you recommend a treatment?

Pinched stomach suggests an intestinal worm. Have you noticed any white stringy poop? That is another symptom.

No, I haven't noticed white, stringy poop...looks normal. what is the best method to treat intestinal worms?

Most of the times praziquantel (i.e. Prazipro). But for some stubborn strains, you have to resort to using metronidazole (exs. Metroplex, Metro-MS). If the fish are in QT you can dose with "API General Cure" which contains both medications.

How long should I dose API general cure? I've been running it just over 48 hours

1 course of GC is staggered out in 2 doses over 48 hrs. So you treat with one course, wait a week and then treat with a second course. Do at least a 25% WC before beginning the second course.
