What do you all think of Orange Skunk Clownfish? I stumbled upon them today in a video of someone showing off their tank and I think they are such cool fish. Once I get ocellaris breeding down I'm going to be really tempted to get some orange skunks and try and breed them.

I just couldn't contain my interest and excitement so I decided to share it here.

What are your thoughts on the orange skunk clown? Love it? Hate it?

I love all of the skunks! Pink skunks are my personal favorites. They are my favorite clown of all, they are less aggressive then the others.
If you do end up breeding them, you should try to keep a fake anemone in the rearing tank. This is purely speculation, but I think why so many captive bred clowns are reluctant to go into anemones is t5hat they have no exposure to them in the early days. Of course, this might not be the case at all, but it's something I've been wanting to test, and I am by no means set up for breeding.
Keep us posted on progress, and good luck!
God bless you!

I've seen a lot of pictures of pink skunks but never seen them in person. From what I've seen, the coloration always makes them look like they are pale and dying. How vibrant and opaque is their coloring?

I love the skunk clowns in general and have a pair of black foot skunks myself. I got them as a breeding project about 8 years ago and they mature into nice fish but have only tried to breed a couple of times so I'm keeping them in my reef and just enjoying them.
Pink skunks should be vibrant when in good health but they don't normally look like much in a shop so you need a little imagination and faith to see their potential. A friend bred them once but I've never tried. There was a morph I think they called sunset (sold through tmc over here but I think they were bred in Sri lanka) which had a yellow orange belly fading to pink on the shoulders. I think these may have been a hybrid of pink and orange skunks.
Orange skunks look more impressive from the start and are really great clowns so if you see them go for them.

Did you get them WC? I had a CB pair a few years ago but they were more of a darkish brown than I’ve seen in pictures of reefs.
