Hey guys I’m new to the forum took me a while to figure out how to even post this and I’m not sure if I’m in the right section but this past 2 months I been having a red slime problem on my sand fast forward to tonight and I see it’s orange now and spreading further on the sand n starting to get on the rocks I used chemiclean 2 weeks ago seemed to get better then it started spreading again I did a 45% water change , changed all my filters added a charcoal bag in the sump (nuvo 25 gallon)
Honestly I don’t know what to do any more I’ve asked my local shops and there not much help so I’m here hopping you guys can shine some light on my tank and help me out
Light settings are 7:30pm to 7am I have a Aiprime light will upload the colors now

Welcome to R2R!

It might be cyano, and it might be diatoms.
If you are able to pull some out and it comes out like a mat, then chances are that it is cyano. It looks like too that its building up in areas where there might not be enough flow.

Couple of things you can try if it is cyano
  1. Lower your lights intensity for a couple of weeks and see if it backs off
  2. Move your wave makers and see if you can get some flow around your deadspot areas
  3. Check your Nitrates. And report back where that number is at.

+1 to everything. I would like to add that you should check your phosphates as well.
