I have recently acquired an Orange Spotted Goby. I have it in my QT right now. He seems very happy and healthy. Eating very well and i believe a good starter candidate for the nano cube I'm cycling right now. He has developed a black spot on his bottom side and his front fins. Should i be worried? Or is he camouflaging because it's bear bottom and it's dark wood color under the tank?

They can camouflage, so I would ask for a picture. Does it seem raised or just apart of his pigment?
For some reason, my phone or app is acting crazy. It seems like it's his pigment. Nothing raised and like i said he seems very healthy. He's eating. Barely hides. Not skiddish. Highly active at feeding times. Eats twice a day. Ruffles around in the tub of substrate i have in there. Acts very normal. As soon as i can, i will post a picture

It's hard to tell which fin that little spot is on but here are two examples of their normal coloration. So it could be that he's a little washed out in the QT and that spot is just part of his pigment that hasn't washed out with the rest. With him appearing to be totally healthy at the moment, I would just watch and see. If his situation changes then we can talk about what to do.

It looks like the top picture. But when I got it, it didn't have that. But I'll keep on eye on it.
