Ii have lots of euphillia. But this is my first orange. And my first wall. Anything special to keep it orange? Or no different?

Euphyllia on the most part are considered easy as long as your tank is to its likings. This i have found only true for para or branching varieties. The wall types are not as easy. For many a few months to a year. I would monitor water and keep in low to medium lighting. The wall types are sand bed. Unlike branching ones that will grow upright to higher lighting.

Thanks:-) so nothing special to keep the orange color?

I have never had luck keeping yellow, gold or orange keeping the purchased color. For me they always turned green or tan within a year. Maybe others having success can chime in.

I hope it keeps its color. It is so nice. Green is too common!

In my tank orange always looked tan and yellow looked green as they got older. There are several threads on here concerning purchased or photo colors of euphyllia and actual colors. But keeping your wall healthy and growing will supersede a color morph.

I have plenty of greens. Man I hope it retains color.

Let's see a FTS.

@Wiz What all is on the frag rack tree how is it hung in the corner also what's that white thing bottom left corner?
Awsomely stocked tank :)

Care to share your light sched

The frag rack is the best that I've ever owned. I got it used but it is so awesome in versatility. It is held on top and bottom with a suction cup.The bottom would never stick so I just took it out and the weight hangs on the top 1 fine without a bottom. The holes get longer from top to bottom to allow for light. And each one is adjustable side to side.At the moment it is filled with Galaxia frags.
The white thing in the bottom left is a PVC floor drain with women's pantyhose over it that serves as a slow feeder for baby brine in order to keep my pair of mandarins happy.
The display tank has two Reef Radiance Starfire. Blues come on at 10 a.m. ramps up At a Max of all 100% for 3 hours then ramps back down to end at 10 p.m.
And thank you

@Wiz thanx man
I remember having to feed my Mandarin couple times a day that seems like a nice easy way to keep some happy do you hatch the brine in the tank or syringe them into the drain with a tube or something? We fed ours into a glass bottle it was a very tedious process sadly the Mandarin perished :-(

I hatch the brine in a 2 liter bottle filled with tank water. It has an air hose mounted into the cover. After 1 1/2-2 days i use a tupperware cup covered in electrical tape with a small water bottle mounted in the cover for collection. Then i feed half that day while seting up the new hatch and feed the other half the next day. That way they get fed every day. I run the babys through a one cup coffee strainer and put them in the feeder. They usually release over about 3 hours. All the fish eat them but mandarins will sit right in front and pic them off. :-D

i have a purple wall hammer myself, he sits towards the upper middle part of my tank and he's doing very well I've had him for at least 1 year now..great expansion but definitely a slower grower compared to their branching counterparts.

Man you must go through a ton of brine eggs we would grow the first one just like you in the 2 liter let the live ones settle by placing a flashlight at the bottom suck out most of them them pour the spent water in a Tupperware shoebox thing with an old t8 daylight bulb in it with an airstone to let them grow feed spirulina powder we got from vitamin shop we was able to get a good week or 2 worth of feedings out of one of the little pouches of brine eggs it was really a hassle and had we started sooner I'm sure the Mandarin would have lived but when we started his belly was already beginning to sink in but he lived another couple months just couldn't get him fat enough to stay alive. Yours eat pellets or frozen also? Mine would not. Good luck with keeping them healthy :-)

100g of eggs every 3 months or so. I also feed them live black worms with a syringe. And the whole tank gets an adult brine feeding once a week. I tried growing the brine but to much of a process. Both of my mandarins eat fairly well. But the male is definitely less of an eater than the female. He is also very thin and has been since I bought him. But he eats and he's been in my tank for months and months and seems to be ok. Neither of them will eat any processed foods. Only live. But they are by far my favorite fish. The patterns are just unreal. And in my opinion they are worth the extra effort. I have caught. My pair doing a courting dance about 3 times now just after Dark. Makes me so happy to know that they are doing well.

Wow that is a lot of brine shrimp and work. I have always been lucky getting or purchasing a mandarin that will eat frozen brine or frozen blood worms.
