I found this critter today. I am not sure what it is. Good or bad? Should it be killed with fire?

Seems like a small orange worm with small white tentacles, or hairs, on one end and pointy on the other end.

I hope the pics help.

Thank you for your help!

Tough to say from the pics, but looks like a bristleworm. Can't say for sure without closeups.
Try using a magnifier with your camera and do the ol' google search thing or post closeup pics here

Looks like a small spaghetti or medusa worm but hard to tell as its in the edge of cup. Can you get a top down shot ?

It’s tough to get pics.. it is about 1cm (.5inch), maybe a bit longer.

Good pics
Its an orange eunicid worm and do discard it

Thank you for the id. I will do my research.
What harm could it cause? Why discard?
Get large and can be destructive

Should I be worried about a scourge of these freaks?
I wouldn't think so ... I haven't found many (or any) threads of folks who had an outbreak ... it's typically just one, unless you fail at trapping them and accidentally break their bodies into two, which means you now have two Bobbit worms. Pleasant dreams :)

F me. Well I was able to completely remove this freak and drain it. I hope it doesn’t have friends. Or I’ll be moving to the moon.

I'm honestly shocked you were able to catch it. I tried for about two weeks with very complex and smelly traps and gave up. I should have stuck it out.

"Bobbit" is a general term, but yes, it usually refers to eunicid worms. Judging by the head of the worm in the pic you posted, that seems to be a eunicid.
