My fuge light died the other day and I have a spare 24" orbit marine light. It fits perfectly over my fuge. Ive been running it at 100% on white green and red (no blue) Id like to run it at 6500k but not sure what to set it to. The white channel leds are a mix of 6500k and 8000k. Should I just run the white channel at full stremph? Add red and green? Anybody else use one on their fuge?

Curious if anyone else has as I also have a spare orbit. I would think it would work especially if the light isn't too high off the fuge. Does the light fit only on the refugium? I could see if the light is over other areas of a sump it could grow algae where you don't want - return pump or skimmers.

Can’t see why not
Prefer Chaeto light but this will work

I have it resting on the rim of the fuge section, so its very close to the water, but there is some light spillover into my return section. Ive been running it this way for about a week and no problem algae yet. I can probably block the light spill with some opaque acrylic or something though
