Orbit Marine PRO dual

Hello I would like to Order one Orbit Marine PRO IC dual led.
The aquarium has mix corals and sps. What dimension would you suggest ? 4226 or 4227? The aquarium is 47.5 " (120cm)long and is the rio 300.

How deep is your tank? I would not recommend this light to grow sps or some lps .If you are set on growing more than softies I would spend your money on hydras or viper spectras if have a lesser ligting budget . I had orbit on my mixed reef tank at first and only used it as supplemental to my t’5s then I switched to viper s.

I'm hesitant about viparspectra because it is form Chinese. I had read that Orbit pro keep sps, non pro don't. Maybe I go to viparspectra two pieces

I had 2 them on my 90 gallon tank that had 45 pieces of mixed. 3 year warranty and I grew acros with them with great color . For the price point you can’t go wrong .thats the only black box I would buy. I do have hydra 26’s on my other tank and I like them a lot with all the functions but more more cost .
Again If it was me and wanted to go with mixed reef I would not buy the current lights
Somebody else will chime in hopefully.

I think the hardest thing will be to find them as I’ve read they are discontinued. That being said it’s possible to look on amazon.
The IC pro is not the same as the Orbit marine Pro. Here is a good table to show the difference.

How much PAR and what wavelength does the Orbit Marine LED produce?

I’m had the orbit and switched to a mars aqua. Lps and sps have grown way faster in the two months that new light has been on there than they did with the orbit. They grew, but weren’t thriving. I did keep it because I think it’s a good light for a shallow frag tank or something, but anything over 12” of depth is going to struggle.

The orbit marine pro is the one that was discontinued. I’m not sure really if one would be ok, because I’ve never had the pro version nor have I tried to grow harder corals.
