We'll I have the opportunity for both skimmers.
It is going on a ~400 gal system with all kinds of fish and corals. sps, lps, zoas, anemone's, etc.

ORCA 250 Pro is going to cost me about $350-400.
BK 300 Ext. would cost me $1,000.

I'm thinking they're both amazing skimmers. obviously the Bk uses less electricity. but is it worth the 2+x cost?

It's so cheap for the BK 300 external...I would go with BK 300 external. I was used to have one in the past. It's so quite and skimmed like crazy. the pump draws less watts. It's energy saving skimmer. I'm using internal BK 300 cone skimmer for now.

I have always been a fan of bubble king and plan on runnin one on my 120 imo 1 of the best skimmers out there

Which cone are you running now?
Do you notice a difference between the cone and the cylinder?
