The orchid dottyback is what convinced to get a saltwater tank! Right now he is just with a pair of clowns but no aggression. He comes out at feeding, otherwise he just stays in a cave or digs out new caves... spits out sand like my African cichlids

Just curious, are there any invertebrates that would do ok with an orchid dottyback? (snails, shrimp, crabs, etc.)

I've only had this tank for a few weeks so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm planning to add a cleaner shrimp eventually though

We never had any problem with a cleaner shrimp or a blood fire shrimp.
Or any of the regular snails.

Got an orchid with a skunk and they don’t pay each other any attention. I do believe my orchid ate my two Sexy shrimp shortly after I got them. I really liked those things!
