It’s funny because I bought it as a quarantined fish. Ive seen symptoms for about a week. It’s still eating. I hear that they usually die after 3 days if it is velvet.I'm inclined to say ich, but some may say velvet depending on how quick the onset was.
I would say more like salt but it’s hard to say. I’d rule out velvet since it’s been like this for a while and still eating. Are the spots like salt grains or powdered sugar dusting on the fish?
Has it survived longer, could be just other, I had chromis with similar, 3 months on its scales are great, sometimes they rubb themselves on rocks which causes abrasionsIt’s funny because I bought it as a quarantined fish. The only problem is Its gonna be practically impossible to get it out since it jimmys itself into the tiniest crevices.I’d probably agree with ich. Velvet is pretty quick to spread and cause death. Usually within a week. The fin also look pretty rough from the pictures.
I can try. He is a hungry little guy, but very cautious. I have metroplex which has always worked for me.I used a DIY fish trap I made from a water bottle. Worked well but it took a lot of patience.
Ah yes i've used that before. Here's hopingHere is a rough example.
This looks more like secondary bacterial as seen with brook but ich is possible. Realize that that a quarantined fish is good but if subject to stressors are not exempt from disease and I often say, assume all fish have something but its possible you may have had something in the tank already although fish did not show it.It’s funny because I bought it as a quarantined fish. I will say I put a small hole in it toward the back to fit a pipette so I can squirt some food in a squeeze to move it so it draws him in. But you got to be ready with a net because they are super nimble and great swimmers. My bi color dotty was a pain but that’s how I got him out of my display. He was rough and killed off several larger fish.Ah yes i've used that before. Here's hoping
