Howdy reefers! I recently picked up an orchid dottyback from my LFS that was basically a rescue situation. Most of their tank was crashing and I had a cycled nano cube at home so I decided to try and save it. As far as I can tell it looks as though it is Lymphocystis? It has small white dots that attach to fins or its side that fall off and reattach in different locations almost daily. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a treatment besides just waiting it out? Despite her looking pretty rough it is at least eating frozen mysis and SA pellets like a champ.

Small discrete white spots that come and go every day to so is one symptom of marine ich. I didn't see any ich in the video though. The thing on the mouth isn't ich and it isn't Lymphocystis - it almost looks like something is snagged on one of the teeth.

Thanks for the reply Jay. I edited the post so it has better screenshots of her face. Seems like it is a raised bump with a white protrusion? Could it be part of her jaw bone?

There is some mouth damage as well. Could it have snagged a tooth on the net when it was caught?
