I think we’ll need some more info to see if someone can help:

- Any other fish in the tank? Could be damage.
- How long have you had the fish?
- Any flashing or scratching on the rocks? Trying to rule out flukes.
- How long has the tank been set up?
- What are you water parameters (Ammonia, Nitrate, Phosphate, PH)?

First reaction just looking at this picture (would be better if under white lighting) is that it could be something bacterial/fungal resulting from damage or poor water quality. Looks to be whitish in color where the tail fin is torn. But just guessing without any answers to the above questions.

Hope somebody can help and we can get the little guy on the right track.
