Hello reefers,

Has anyone run into problems keeping orchid dottybacks in a tank with coco worms? Or had them live together without problems?

@vetteguy53081?

Thanks,
Chris

The worm itself should not be a problem as they do not have the ability to grab and feed exclusively on phytoplankton, zooplankton, bacteria, and even fine detritus floating in the water as they are filter feeders.
Some reefers even have had success feeding frozen foods containing phyto and zooplankton.

The Orchid is carnivorous and feed on tiny shrimp, amphipods, copepods, bristleworm, detritus worms and smaller isopods. Also give them meaty foods such as live and spirulina brine shrimp, mysis shrimp,small krill and LRS reef frenzy

thanks! I was a little worried that the dottyback might try to make a snack of the coco worm since they do like other worms. As it turns out, they happen to be out of stock, so I will push pause for now.
