Two questions....can I put a small dottyback in my nanocube? Its29g and has two clowns, one yellow headed cleaner, and some shrimp. I have too many bristle worms for my comfort and was reading that these dottybacks destroy them. Also, where would be a good place to get a hold of one??

Yes, they're great fish for nanos. I've owned like 3-4 different friedmani's over the years and never once saw one eat or even look at a bristleworm so I wouldn't get one based on that alone, you may be disappointed. They are awesome gorgeous fish though! Good place to get one? Do you have a local fish store? If so you can ask them to order one from ORA for you if they can put together a minimum order or they may be able to get one from one of there own sources. There are a ton of captive bred Orchids out there. If you don't have a local fish store, then your preferred online retailer would be your only option.

Orchid dottybacks are a great choice for a smaller tank. They are hardy and much more peaceful that their other Pseudochromis cousins. They should be readily available from most LFS or online providers. This is one of the few fish that is cheaper captive bred than wild caught.

one of the brightest and best fish you can add to any aquarium! lots of personality and a truly unbeatable color!

I bough one around 2 1/2" from my lfs, I assume it's wild caught, it hid a few weeks now is always swimming out in the open in my 26 bow front
