Ordering a 330 gallon tank. Need advice and tips

Hello, everyone, I am getting ready to order a 330-gallon tank with an internal overflow. I was thinking of two return lines in the back but should I go with four? Please share any advice or tips or anything you can think of that you would have done or did with your custom order. Any regrets or whish's....

Good to know. With it being 10 feet long I started thinking maybe I needed a total of four.

I have a 660 with 6 but again it is 4 foot deep and also 10' long. I have 4 on plumbing side and two on opposite side of tank

It really depends what your going to use for water circulation in the main tank.

In my new system I just have 1 main return and 1 for redundancy with a backup pump (switched off) but I’m using 2 x Ecotech MP60’s and an MP40 in the back centre for flow.

It really depends what your going to use for water circulation in the main tank.

In my new system I just have 1 main return and 1 for redundancy with a backup pump (switched off) but I’m using 2 x Ecotech MP60’s and an MP40 in the back centre for flow.

I was planning on two returns in case one goes out and two gyres plus a few MP 40's. I already have a lot of this from my past builds.

That’s basically what I’ve done 1 main return and a spare backup and the rest of my circulation is provided by the MP’s

I’m also using an Abyzz a200 main return pump, so potentially plenty of power from that

It's always nice to have that peace of mind if something to happens to one the other can keep up until your home.

Exactly.

When I’m away one of my worst fears is main pump failure. My current tank only has 1 return and although it’s controlled by Apex if it goes down there is nothing I can do.

The new system will be controlled by Apex but if the main pump fails, I can switch the backup pump on and it will keep everything running, or at least limping along until I get back.

I will probably do something very similar to that. I already have most of the gear needed. Apex, returns, powerheads are all cleaned and packed waiting on the new house. Instead of running two I mean set up a back up as you did. I like that idea.
