Hi Everyone,

I currently have a 46 gallon tank, but am starting to plan my upgrade.. I have looked at a lot of different dimensions, but I am looking to do a 150 gallon.. Do people have any suggestions to where I can buy a 150 gallon tank.. I have looked at Petco, but doesn't look like I can get a 150g. I don't know where I can get order one. I am open to getting a custom built tank, but I am fine with like an aqueon 150g tank. Any suggestions to where I can buy a tank/or get a customized rimless one! Any information is greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

You want a reef ready and petco and PetsMart generally have standard tanks.
I would go into a Local Fish store /Pet shop who have these or can order it and support you with needed equipent which many petcos and petmarts rarely carry adequate return pumps, sumps, reactors, etc.

Shop around. Price checks and quotes are free. I recommend GlassCages. They’ll make any dimensions and drill and help walk you though the process with a personal touch. Definitely get what you want, don’t settle!

The only LFS around me actually closed down.. last month.. So the only stores we really have around here is petco/petsmart.. I am fine with doing the cutting and what not on the glass... Just need to be able to find a good place to get it!

Even if they're your only option they don't usually carry larger tanks and if they do they usually have freshwater ones, thin ones. If your looking for coral growing and reefing wider is a lot better than tall so keep that in mind!

Also ordering may be scary for glass, but acrylic is an option! having moved a fair amount of larger glass tanks weight is definitely a thing to think about when installing the tank and if you ever need to move the tank. Not to mention they lose less heat and easier to control water temp.

Thanks for the info! I am definitely interested in where I can find what I want!

If I were to order a new standard or custom glass tank I would consider only 2 sources. Planet Aquariums for their amazing build quality, or Glass Cages (@Joe Glass Cages) because of their support to the forum and also high build quality. Unfortunately I won't ever be in that position lol, so I will live vicariously through you.
