Oregon Tort

One of my hardiest and surprisingly fastest growing corals. Mine has survived several moves and destabilizing events that “hardier” acros died from.

My alk always seems to end up around 7dkh and it seems to really like that.
Nice, I’m using tropic Marin pro and all for reef, so my Alk is usually right around 8 ish. Hopefully I’ll have the same luck when I get a piece!

Slow grower and welcome to 2005 lol
Right lol! I’m honestly going to try to stick to the mostly “older” SPS for the first year or two. I figure if they’ve been through the hobby for years and years, I’ve got a better chance of success. Helps that some of them are don’t look too shabby either.

How do your tank parameters run? What kind of lighting/positioning are you using?
That’s quite the boat load of coralline algae!
Alk 8.5 , phosphates .02, nitrates 5-10.
I dose kalkwasser and run moonshiners for trace elements.

Lighting is 2 orphek bars, 2 T5, and halides in the center.
