Original Mummy Eye morphing

I acquired this OME a long time ago. When I just bought it it was green with orange eyes it grows under ATI mostly blue. It acquired a nice mustard color. I have seen this in other OME. But now as it ages, It has a kind of pinkish growth rim and a deep purple line. Have any of you seen changes similar on your OME

Mummy eyes will get an orange overlay if lighting is a bit brighter. Will morph back to green under lower light. The orange overlay is why it appears to have a rind. Mummy eyes are what was called a reverse watermelon.

As for the body blue streak. I have seen that oddity on some older chalices. I think it adds to it. But if you decide to allow it to morph back to green. Wonder what would happen to the streak? That nice blue on the bright green.

I was thinking about taking a frag on that place. Maybe I do that and shade it.

My friend has a piece of the same origin. His piece has developed blue on some eyes.

That's neat. Mine stays on the sandbed and retains a deeper green color with mostly red/orange eyes. Here it is. Not in the best mood.

Do you keep it higher in your tank? I keep mine on the sand bed and I haven't seen any morphing; yet. lol

A buddy of mine who is big into chalice has one that looks pretty close to yours . He moved some stuff around in the tank and it has gone back to a greener shade, the two lines are still there just not as noticeable

Higher the light the more yellow it will achieve. I have a few service accounts that have them in high light, almost to the top 1/3rd of the tank and they are entirely yellow with orange mouths.
