My favorite Wrasse, P. octotaenia. Just start changing, looking better every day. This is a bold fish, not agressive. I cannot wait until he is fully developed.

Mine is 3.5 inches. I got him when she was just shy of 2 inches. My research indicated that they max out at about 4 inches, large for a Flasher. IMO, they are hand down the best Flasher wrasse, even in compare to Diamond-tail and the like. I don't have a Diamond-tail but one of my friend here in CC does.

This is the favorite fish in my tank. He is soooo beautiful. This is not the best picture of him but it does show how healthy and beautiful he is.

You like the tang over the regal angel? I know you like the regal.This is the favorite fish in my tank. He is soooo beautiful. This is not the best picture of him but it does show how healthy and beautiful he is.

You caught me. I like all three of them. Can't choose. My Regal Angle pair are so precious. Thinking about there are a lot of my fishes in my tank are precious.
The Powder Blue tang have a special place because I got him back from so near death. I though he was a goner out of the bag from Live Aquaria. The picture below was after a few days in my tank and I got him start eating. His stomach was so flat and thin, it seem almost transparent.

Last week I got two Flame Fairy from LA. Two small emaciated Flame fairy arrived, one died the next day and I was able to get the second one to start eating. I think I wait too long when they are on sale to order them. If I ordered them as soon as they are available, they would not have stay at the wholesaler as long, thus would not get so thin.
Anyway, below are the initial picture and picture today. She is in my 40B QT tank. This is the one that is in better shape

More detail chronological images of my Eightline Flasher wrasse.
I got a small juvenile Eightline Flasher wrasse 1 year ago. Keep her in my 320 DT with a bunch of wrasse. She was happy healthy and growing very fast. She grew from about less than 2 inches to about 3.5 inches. Over the last 2 weeks she really change quickly to terminal male. I cannot believe how fast this wrasse change from female to male. Below are the serial pictures of this wrasse. This is my favorite wrasse in my tank, certainly one of the most colorful, not aggressive, but not a timid wrasse. He should do well in a wrasse community tank.
Color changes very quickly. Fins length still a little short. I hope the fins continue to grow a bit more.

I think I have lost my Bluethroat Fairy wrasse to one of the carpets. I have not seen him in 2 days even when I feed. He always strutting and in display. The tank is absolutely escape proof so he cannot jumped out or go down to the sump. He was fat and always well. I just see him on Saturday, but did not see him Sunday or Monday.
This the first fish that I lost to the carpet for a long, long time. 2+ years.
