So I purchased a female Ornate Boxfish about a week ago and she is now showing signs of ich. So I’ve treated other fish for ich before usually by going hypo quickly for just over 30 days, I’ve used copper once as well. The reason for the post is I am not sure what Boxfish are sensitive to in regards to either of those options or Chloroquine (which I’m pretty sure I have on hand). Does anybody have experience treating Boxfish successfully for ich, or have any knowledge on what they are sensitive to?

Is it eating? Has the ich spread to other fish? To my knowledge, boxfish aren't any more or less susceptible to ich than your average fish but someone feel free to chime in if I'm wrong here.

Edit: saw that you got her 1 week ago.

She’s in quarantine by herself. I know they can get ich, my concern is what medications they are sensitive to. Yes she is eating great, and active.

TTM is my normal for all new fish, with her being the exception because I don’t have a way to keep the water chilled. I kinda thought copper was a bad idea and completely unsure about the chloroquine which is why I posted this so thanks. To your knowledge what fish have issues with chloroquine, and does chloroquine treat anything else?

CP treats ich, velvet, brook & uronema.

I would not use it on wrasses (save genus Cirrhilabrus), anthias and Hippo Tangs.
