ORP

I have the same ozone system (Poseidon) and ORP probe (Apex), and I do notice a difference in ORP levels with ozone. I'm running a very low setting (1.5-2) on the Poseidon for 18 hours/daily - but it still seems to add about 20-25 to ORP (without ozone it typically doesn't go above 325).

I'm not sure about a ORP probe "memory", as it's been quite a bit higher at times (the last 2 months ORP has been peaking between 375-400).

I turned my Poseidon up to 5 a few days ago to see if I could get it to read anything. Normally have it set around 3 and it runs for 5 hours 1am to 6am. Last night I stuck the effluent line from my avast reactor directly above the orp probe and there was no change. I'll do a bit more experimenting today to see if I can get it to read anything. Just turned it on manually as I'm at home today so I can monitor it.

I did change my probe a couple months ago to try and rule that out. old probe and new probe are still in the sump, just only have 1 hooked up.

Here's what my normal trend has been for a few months. dips to about 285 everyday when my auto water change runs (2 gallons on a 180 gallon tank). Then ozone runs from 1:00am to 6:00am. and the orp is almost already at it's normal peak by the time it runs.

This is what my graph used to look like, was very obvious when the ozone was turning on/off. It looked like this for a few weeks but I can't go back far enough to grab those logs. This is the only day I can find that looks like this in recent history. Could be the day I changed my probe but I didn't check when that was

Put my probes and effluent lines closer together and saw no change after about an hour. Checked the effluent and couldn't smell any ozone, took my generator apart and cleaned out the corona discharge with citric acid water and blew it out with my air compressor. Numbers are going up now and I can smell it. my check valve was not working fully so I'm guessing water was getting back to the generator and causing it to fowl.

Ah, glad you have that figured out. I kept my pump and generator above the water line to prevent that issue.

Another thing to keep in mind is that ORP probes foul easily with biofilm and read incorrectly low. I end up cleaning mine fairly frequently with vinegar. Pretty sure biopellets and some bacterial additives contribute to that. And no that ORP solution does not work with Apex calibration and there is no manual adjustment. Been that way for ever and not sure why they have not corrected that. Well Neptune's stand is ORP probes do not need to be calibrated.
