hi guys.i apologize in advance about my not perfect english. I wanted to ask you for advice regarding a new tank that will start at the end of July. I was going to mount 6-8 orphrek or3 bars and wanted to ask how many for the size 80x80x50 cm (31x31x20) and what you would choose for a right combination for predominant sps. I think the bars are the right choice to cover the great depth.
do you have any advice for me?
does anyone only use orphek bars?

I think you would need at least 5 or 6 bars minimum. Could do 3 blue sky and 2 reef day? But to be honest, you’re probably better off just buying the Atlantik v4 and be done with it. Remember, each bar will have to be plugged in individually, that’s 5 or 6 power supplies. For that size tank, a single coral care 2 would probably work as well for about the same money as the bars. For the cleanest look, ATI Straton or a simple metal halide fixture would do it justice. I myself would look at a single fixture to do the job.

minus has a good point with the 1 fixture and 1 cable to manage. I actually think at 5+ bars it may actually be more powerful than the orphek atlantik and can be mounted together with the orphek mounting stuff just lots of cords

Intanto grazie per la risposta. temo che con un v4 non posso completare, anche orphek consiglia più barre da coprire. anche uno straton, coralcare, devo aggiungere delle barre, e il prezzo aumenterebbe molto...il problema principale è la profondità. hai ragione, ci saranno troppi alimentatori, ma posso coprire tutto.

I think the straton can cover a 30" by 30" square so i dont think 31" should be a problem with it

Penso che lo straton possa coprire un quadrato di 30 "per 30", quindi non penso che 31" dovrebbe essere un problema con esso

in Europa ce ne sono pochissimi o nessuno. ormai da mesi

That is frustrating, another option could be 1 ai hydra 64 with 2 orphek bars for a reasonable price

Yes- they have good coverage and 3-4 plenty (Sí tienen buena cobertura y 3 4 mucho)
