Orphek V4 ceiling mount options

Hi this is how I mounted my Orphek v4. See attached picture. I have tight space over my tank. Currently it’s 9.5” from ceiling. Ideally I want it 5-6” from ceiling to maintain Orphek recommended height of 12-16” from water surface in display tank. Please let me know what are my options for ceiling mount. I don’t like wall mounting options for aesthetic reasons.

I used hooks in a similar manner to hang mine but let me think on it for a bit and I’ll see what I come up with. You may need to abandon their hanging kit and rig up your own to each of the 4 hanging bolts independently.

Thanks!!! I am thinking the same to use 4 hanging bolts independently...not able to figure out what hardware I will need and where to buy?

I attached the eyelet screw to the stud then used the carabiner to contact the hanging kit to the eyelet screw. It’s super stable.

Thanks. I was thinking of buying four independent adjustable hooks and four eyelet screws ....I could not find adjustable hooks... if don’t find it I may go for carabiner route....

Maybe use a kit along these lines or something similar and cut the cables to your desired length. I think you’d be able to keep just the two ceiling hooks but use an idependent line to each hanging bolt on the fixture. Generally speaking this is the hardware I’d be looking at.

Please don’t mind the extra holes, we are going to box the vent. Also, I just ordered a lid so I have a quick fix for now lol. Good luck I hope it works out!

Thanks...I don’t have much room between panel and ceiling...that’s the reason I am hanging the way it’s shown in my picture....ideally I just want 5-6” from ceiling to panel so light panel is at least 12” from water surface
