Orphek V4 Gen2 Thoughts

Hello all- I was wondering anyone thoughts on these. I am wanting to switch from my radions but not sure if its a wise decision. Anyone using these, if so what are your thoughts on the performance and coral growth they provide?

I currently own the v4 gen 2's on my main display and the radion xr30's gen 5's on my frag tank. They are totally different lights in every way. Without knowing your setup and what you are trying to achieve. I will give you my broad opinion on the v4 gen's.

The orphek v4 gen 2's are a great light when all the led's are working. Its absolutely a PAR machine and creates more PAR than any LED fixture I have ever owned. The spectrum is very good and the growth from sps is amazing and you can get great colors out of it.

I wouldn't waste your time on the v4 gen 2 if you are buying new. Just get the icons. Some of the down falls with the led's going out on the v4 gen 2 have been addressed on the icon. Not to mention getting rid of the buggy app on the v4 gen 2. Those 2 things alone would make me get the icons.

I have 2 Orphek V4 Gen2 compacts if you're still interested. I was keeping them in hopes of building another reef but now more importantly I'm trying not to lose my car. Personally, I had a great experience with them they were fantastic I had Kessil's beforehand and they were no comparison in color or coral growth!
